Let me begin with my view of the meaning of the word affordability.
In terms of this phrase, I think that any new product that a designer designs has a purpose, but there are also functions and definitions that the buyer develops after using it. Something you get as the product of making something else.When a product is developed with more functionality than the designer defines, it becomes more affordability.

Like the black plastic bucket in the Don Norman video, it was just a simple, dark, opaque cylinder. ,but when it became a chair, the black bucket became affordability.In the same way that books are used as rain shields, sticky notes are not in the designer’s mind.
